After Hours, All In

If you’ve stopped by the shop in the evening and noticed someone quietly hauling boxes or fiddling with a step stool, that’s my husband. He works a full-time job during the day, and then most nights, he’s here helping out however he can.

We’re in that phase where Jonquies is still part paint fumes, part product chaos - and it takes more than one set of hands to keep it moving forward. While I’m handling the bulk of the day-to-day (and every decision from lightbulbs to logistics), his after-hours help has made a big difference.

He’s not front and center in this business - but his support behind the scenes matters more than you could know - until you're in it. And the pressure is suddenly very real.

We’re both tired, both showing up in different ways, and both looking forward to the moment we open the doors. Almost there.

And I hear there's a Thai Herbal Spa massage place right next door, so I'm sure a massage is in his near future! 💆‍♂️
