Our First Week Open: Rain, Road Trips & Repeat Customers

What a first week it’s been at Jonquies!

We soft-opened on a rainy Tuesday, mid–price tagging frenzy and all. Perfect? No. Open? Absolutely. By Friday, we closed up for a 12-hour round trip to Kentucky to celebrate my grandmother’s 90th birthday which was definitely worth every mile.

Saturday? Smyrna showed up. In just 8 hours we saw repeat customers who came back for round two, strollers rolling through like a parade, a squad of ballet teens and tweens twirling in, and birthday bar crawlers adding a little fun to the day.

Sunday we were back open while the Smyrna Handmade Market filled the Village with even more life.

We feel so lucky to be here and can’t wait to keep building on this energy.

We are closed Monday, though you might catch us there fixing a few things, like the mysteriously missing cash drawer cable, some additonal clothing racks, and some general sprucing. Here’s to week two - we'll see you Tuesday!
